    Delta 1010, Giga 3, 16 bit samples?

I am upgrading my PC hardware and to GS3 and want to continue to use my Delta 1010 on this particular machine.

But then I saw this at M-audio.com

"Q: When I use the inputs of my M-Audio Delta Series card (Driver version 5.10.00.0048a) within GigaStudio 3, the incoming signal is distorted. What can I do about this?

A: Please set GigaStudio 3 to 24 bit resolution."

What does this mean for my large 16 bit, GS 2.X library? Will they still play without complication or increased CPU load?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes. There will be some slight extra load with the CPU moving 24 bits to the soundcard, but this is negligible. The 16 bit libs will still stream off the hard drive in 16 bit form.
