    First NS demo/submission

    Hello everyone,

Wanted to post this short track called "Mice at Play", and would appreciate your feedback...

    http://www.willmusser.com/exd/mice_at_play.mp3

Many of you guys have helped me out a ton already, with advice on libraries MIDI techniques, etc.

I realize everyone is busy with the holidays, but would love to hear what you guys think about this mix and if you have any pointers.

    Thanks!

    Will

Wow..lemme first say that I'm picky about what I like. This is GREAT! My favorite part: 0:00-0:12. It sounds kinda like Elfman's style.. back in the day. I love the dynamics of the pizz how it gets really loud for a sec, then subsides. The whole piece is great though.. nice work!

Nice piece, could be longer though.

    Is that the horizon oboe?

    Hi,

just woke up to this..I actually saw the critters coming out from the corners of my studio suite. I truly enjoyed the ambience in the mix, so professional and so real! As "Sapp" stated, it could be longer and I'm sure you'd develop this theme with ease. Any chance of this happening in the not too distant future?

Hey thanks guys for the kind comments!

I used SISS, QLSO for Percussion, and yes Aaron that was the Horizon series French Oboe along with the other VSL woodwinds.

I was thinking about making it longer, but just kinda stopped where I did. Might pick it back up though...

    Thanks again!

Great one, well mixed, VSL indeed sounds cool...
What I like most of this piece is great mixing of orchestra hits....

    Keep up a good work.
