Can the Evolution MK-461C handle keyswitches OK?

Supposedly this keyboard is highly customizable. Someone in a previous thread mentioned that a 61-key controller might be problematic when it comes to samples with a wide range of keyswitches, which is true.

The controller has 10 assignable buttons, which I'm thinking I could assign to the keyswitches. The page that talks about features says:

"You can even trigger specific MIDI notes from assigned buttons."

So that would probably take care of the keyswitch issue, no?

Thumbs up Re: Can the Evolution MK-461C handle keyswitches OK?

    Hi Sam

I've got an Evolution MK-449C, I never knew that you could do key switches from the buttons, I went to the Evolution website and downloaded the manual, and with a little trial and error, I could assign any key to any button.
I never used keyswitch patches before because the 49 key, keyboard was too small, but now I will!!
    Thanks for the tip Sam!!

Ahh And thank you for confirming this, John. I'm gonna grab the MK-461C as soon as I can afford it.

You know, come to think of it, using the Evolution's buttons as keyswitches is probably a better system than using the note keys. I don't have to remember, "Oh, the first keyswitch starts at C.. or was it E?" I can just start with the first button and work from there.

Can't wait to get it! Here's the cheapest I found it:

The price doesn't show for some reason, but it's $218.
