Hmmm...well, no, I for one have not tried a joystick. If you are trying it, I'd be curious to see your report on the successess/failures of this experiment (please include technical details of midi mappings, joystick brands, etc.).

Hi. Im not yet a GPO user. But i have used it sometimes to control things with succes. Also you can use a MOUSE instead a Joystick, using the idea to send two midi CC at the same time. By example, using soundfonts i can controll expression (Y axys) and Filter cuttoff (X axys) with a single movement, that allows you, by example, made a string section become from low and dark to bright and high.

You can try assign the movements of your MOuse with this little freeware proggie:
    http://www.sonicspot.com/midijoys/midijoys.html
and see if it is good for you.

I was asking because im thinking in buy GPO and suppose that anyone maybe tryed this method.

Re: Anyone using a joystick with GPO

    Marce,

Thanks for the suggestion. There was a Joystick MIDI controller project that was discontinued - http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~co...ussor/djmc.htm

Here is a company that makes MIDI drivers for joysticks - http://www.codevis.com/proj_midi.html - Perhaps some enterprising person can give this a try.

Markleford could probably shed some more light on this. There is also 3D joystick with x-y-z axis that seemed promising.
