Happy New Years Present from Francesco

Francesco has just sent us a new year's present - a new work called "Icelandic Princess" (Falcon1 is going to like the title ).

Francesco recently returned from a trip to Iceland where he directed an orchestra there.

Francesco writes: "The F.Horns are made with the ENS sounds: they are 6 (3+3) layered with the FFoverlay here and there where much power was needed. As always GPO gaves me unequal expressivity, and also the woodwinds sounds really GREAT (everytime is like the 1st time for me ;-) Hope you like this piece and... tweaking suggestions are welcome.

This work paints a musical picture of beauty and majesty.

Thanks Francesco for sharing this with us and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

You need to put a forward slash ( / ) between the mp3 and fm.

Thanks Gary for a great piece of software!

You're joking right? If not, damn I missed the change of meet him.

Hehehhe... beautiful title, and quite a good piece. Maybe to much film sounding for my taste.
    Sincerely,
    Falcon1

VERY well done. I love these woodwind arrangements and the general mood. Only week point: as already said these string pitches do not convince.

Any constructive advice for Francesco on how to improve the strings? Is is the portamento or something else? What do others think and do you have any suggestions for improvement?

Red face Re: Happy New Years Present from Francesco

The piece is very beautiful but i don't like the slides in the violin sections.
I don't understand why they are there and I don't hear them as "wanted" but as "errors" of the players.
It's just what I feel after hearing it.
It's very beautiful and it's a wonderful interpretation with GPO
