    Question Backbeat expander

    Hello all,

for those of you that know, is the backbeat SAGE expander in groove control? Also, is it seperated into hits and kits? Sorry if these are obvious but I can't seem to find a conclusive answer on spectrasonics.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi there,

Yes it is in GC (very easy to work with). There are for sure individual hits for cymbals and such - not sure about sd, toms, etc.

That's what I needed to know. Also, do you know if it's the full version of backbeat or just a taster?

    Thanks,

Full version to my understanding. You are really going to live working with BB with RMX!

I Know! I Know!....I got this answer from Eric himself a while back...It's everything from the original PLUS some extras....I don't know if it's individual hits but if it's like the RMX library then it is...I'd actually be surprised if it wasn't...It does everything else!

Hey , do ya'll know how big this lib is ? How about Retro Funk ?

I will get both eventually but I need more RAM this week too so I can only get one . If the libs are not to big I may go Retro Funk first since it seems like a lot more people have BackBeat .

Each of the Xpanders are under a gigabyte, so they're pretty easy on the hard drive :-)

Yes...BackBeat, Retro Funk, Liquid Grooves and Metamorphosis SAGE Xpanders for RMX are currently shipping through all Spectrasonics authorized dealers and distributors.

Burning Grooves will be available next month.
