Question RMX not responding to CC64 (Sustain Pedal)???

    Hello,
I have received my copy of Stylus RMX a few days ago.
So far I'm really enjoying it a lot, the latest update did a lot for screen redraws and system performance (at least on my machine).

Since I already owned the AKAI version of Backbeats GC and Retro Funk GC,
I succesfully converted them with the SAGE converter.
Now only for the single hits (Cymbals & HH) I'd like to sustain the hits via sustain pedal, however this is not possible.

Will there be a fix for this or did I overlook something obvious here?

Many thanks in advance for any helpful reply.

    Best regards
    Raphael

    Confirmed here too.

I am surprised that these cymbals etc don't sustain anyway.

Extremely disappointed that each element of eg. the backbeat kits are not presented in single hit format.
This would be so useful for just tweaking the grooves very quickly. I know you can get "almost" a single bass drum from the slice menu mode, but it still has a hi-hat on it, or something else.

Future update maybe?? I'm sure spectrasonics must have these sounds on their hard drives somewhere.

    Regards,

RMX doesn't have a traditional sampler type of sustain pedal control (it's not actually a sampler inside)....but you can control the Release via MIDI Learn, so you could achieve the same thing by MIDI Learning the sustain pedal to the release time.

The Cymbals in RMX definitely DO have full release/sustain. If you aren't experiencing this, make sure the settings button in the Browser is turned on and you are using the latest version 1.1 of the plug-in. If you want more release time, you can just increase it on the Easy Edit page.

All the Xpanders are Groove Xpanders, not Kits....obviously, that kind of product would be much more expensive. We've tried to be very clear in all the marketing that these are Groove Xpansions.

    Thanks for your response Eric.
Of course RMX is not a traditional sampler, but given the possibility to import those GC libraries, wich also contain single hit cymbals and HiHats, it would be cool to have them fully sustain. And I wasn't referring to the Cymbals from RMX, but the converted single hits from the GC libs (Backbeats) in Menu(?) Mode.
I do use the latest update (1.1).
It's just difficult to use these single hits if you have to adjust note length for the full decay. Makes it really hard to play them repeatedly fast.

I'll try to work it out with the release time settings.

It's not difficult....just turn up the release time.

    Very easy :-)
