    My first complete GPO piece.

This is my first completed GPO piece. It was composed by my 16 year old son - Luke, for a music exam.

It's the moment Romeo finds Juliets body and thinks she's dead.

    Here Lies Juliet

    I used:
    Steinway Piano
    Violin1 Gagli Solo/Violin1 Gagli Pizz
    Violin2 Strad Solo/violin Strad Pizz
    Viola Solo/Viola Pizz Solo
    Cello2 Solo/Cello1 pizz
Dbl Bass Solo/ Dbl Bass pizz Solo

    Thanks for listening

Very nice. Maybe not quite as dark and turbulent as I’d expect from this scene, but the music was very well done. I hope he got a good grade – he deserved it. Your GPO rendition sounds very natural. I haven’t played with the GPO piano enough yet – it sounds great here.

Nice piece. Your son wrote an easily-enjoyable work, and you orchestrated it well. I'd be interested in hearing more from you both, especially in experimenting with more complex chord structures. Very promising!

Many thanks for taking the time to listen & for all your kind comments.

Luke is particulary please with the response as this is his first piece outside a pop song genre.

There are many more GPO pieces in the pipeline - just not enough hours in the day! This one was the only one with a deadline.
