    Understanding Synful

    Hey guys -

Messing with synful, and to be honest, I just don't get it.

I have it loaded, and can get it to play fine. I have the violin up in both the program parameters and the first slot at the top. The pitch wheel function is enabled.

But all I get from going between two notes is a pitch bend - it does have the benefit of not having the 2nd note already at a "bent" pitch like a normal pitch wheel would, but, is that it? Is it just about bending it and hoping you bend it enough that it sounds ok?

    The manual mentions
    1 - hit first note
2 - hit second note right after the first
3 - but somewhere in between those two, move the pitch wheel

The pitch bend acted a bit weird for me too. If you use it in conjunction with the sustain- well, maybe there's a technique there but I don't have it yet. I set the bend range to under one and use it for little changes in inflection. ignore the sustain pedal. That seemed to work fine for me.
