    Support for hyperthread - when?

I was planning on installing GS3 on my newer, 3G box, but hyperthreading is not supported, and use this for other things that need HT. So it's back to my 1.8G machine, where it really is a LOT more processor intensive than 2.5.

Anybody have any info on when (or if) HT will be implemented?

It works for most people since they released v3.03.

Right. Hyperthreading enabled works fine for me too, 3.03 and 3.04 if not earlier.

Cool - I just installed two day ago, and don't have my license yet, so I don't think I can dl, but I'll be patient (yeah, right )

I thought that G3 now tolerates HT, but does not really take advantage of it.

    quote from GS help file

"• Pentium 4 systems with HyperThreading technology must have “Intel HyperThreading” in the system BIOS disabled"

what the hell.. is Ht supported or not???

As is stated above, HT is supported with the 3.03 update (and after)

Do you guys see any benefit from HT?

I got a new system that has it, but I disabled it initially just to get some sense for the new HW, etc.

I was thinking if I should enable it, but I don't know what should I expect... How do I know that it works OK? Should I see less CPU usage or should I be able to see more voices played out?

How do I test it and confirm that I'm doing better with than without HT?

Does it make sense only if you use other applications on the machine that runs GS3 or it also benefits you if the GS3 is the only application running?

What are pros and cons of HT with GS3 and digital audio applications?

    Regards,
    Bogdan

Make a test song with lots of VST's and audio tracks running in your sequencer! And stress the machine. See if there is a big difference for the CPU and more important is the sound quality i mean no clicks good. For me i don't run with HT enabled since i can play with lower latency. And i find the computer more reliable more stable setup.
