A long time ago I wrote a tool that basically looks at a directory, analyzes each .gig file in it, and spits out all of the articulations in each .gig, as well as the region on the keyboard that each articulation covers.
It was written in VBScript and is pretty basic. I was thinking of writing a more advanced application in C#.NET that opens a window and lets you drag & drop .gigs onto it, and then generate a list of articulations & regions, saving them to a text file. I figure sample developers might find this handy as they could copy and paste that information and put it on their web site to show exactly what their libraries include, since typing out every single articulation would be time consuming, and I don't think there's any way with GigaEdit or GS to dump a text file list of samples.
Anyway, private message me or post here if you're interested. If there's enough interest in it, I'll add it to my list of hobby programming projects.
