    Taking the night off...

Well tonight you guys are on your own. I'm off to dinner at a nice place and to see the local symphony orchestra perform some chamber renditions of various Mozart pieces with the wife. I'll give ya the scoop later.

    Good for you.

Aren't all Mozart works chamber by today's standards?
It was so funny a couple weeks ago to see over half of the orchestra leave after playing the modern piece so they could play the Mozart Piano Concerto.

Yes, you're probably right. I'm just quoting the advert.

Anywho, all you folks out there, get out and support your local performing arts.

    Enjoy the performance!

After each movement (or a motif you like), stand up and clap really loudly.

Funny how concerts can last 2 or more hours yet pass so quickly . . .

I wish I was off to a concert tonight. Hmmm, maybe I'll hit up my music theory instructor from last semester and see when one of his orchestras is playing next (he's a conductor ). Have a good time.

I bet it was even more funny that the audience returned only after the modern piece was finished!!!

    Joseph,

We'll try to manage without you but it will be difficult. Have a really good night with your wife. What could be better than a good dinner and a Mozart concert.

Enjoy and thanks for being here all the other sleepless nights!
