Smile Aight... my first attempt at a demo!

Nothing fancy, just a short 1.5 minute "let's see what GPO can do" demo that I did in the first 3 days of owning the software and looking through some of the tutorials.

A few different textures, a simple theme, and of course, some mallet percussion at the end. I'm a percussionist so I'm a fan of the marimba-- I might do an all percussion sequence next.

Software used: Sonar 4 Studio Edition
    FX: just the ambience reverb

Once again, I am in humbled by what people can accomplish in such a short time with GPO I enjoyed the percussion very much, and the dynamics are great. Thanks for sharing! If this is what you can do in just three days, I look forward to hearing what you will be able to do in the future

    Thanks for listening, folks!

I have another one, an older one that I just converted to GPO, I'll post it in another thread.
I didn't even have to do any extra work for it!

Just fantastic! It's amazing to hear what you've done in only a few days. You are an inspiration.

Can't wait to hear your percussion sequence and more of your music.

    Thanks for sharing this.

PS: Thud is a good screen name for a percussionist.

Hey Thud! Awesome buddy! Percussionist Rock!!
Look up "Nasty Roche" By Eric Starr at AM Publications. This piece was actually written by Eric Starr for jazz piano. I had the pleasure of attending college at the same time Eric was and we became friends. Haven't seen him in quite some time but this guy was the star pupil of the percussion and music performance department. I saw Eric perform "Nasty Roche" at the debut of the piece. If you can, check it out. It was transposed for marimba and is one of the toughest to play!
Looking forward to hearing more of your music (and don't skimp on the percussion)
