    Bardstown Bass Demo - "Don't Go Pushin' Me Around"

    Hi all,

    In addition to the demo I produced for Kip McGinnis, I added some light drums and room presence to my latest composition called
    "Don't Go Pushin' Me Around" @2005

    Kip's New Acoustic Bass has been an inspiration for me to include in my sound arsenal. I like the fact that every note in any of the registers can be heard and was sampled in the Raw State so that noise and EQ can be added at any given time. "The Bass" forms a brand new marriage with Kip's Imperial Grand Borsendorfer offering an outstanding Jazz trio component to the brew.
    When I first experienced this Bass, I knew immediately that its warm sound would take part in many of my future projects. My congratulations to Kip for his contributions to the virtual community, friendship and uncompromized customer support.

    This Jazz trio composition was composed by me in 2005 exclusively for Bardstownaudio.com. It features the New Acoustic Bass sampled by Kip McGinnis along with Kip's Imperial Borsendorfer Grand. I've added some Dr. Jazz Kit drums from the Classic Motif 8.

    Sharmy,

    I appreciate your time to offer your comment. You know I think the world of you when it comes to scoring and expertise. I hope to present an original Bossa-Nova demo for Kip shortly with many more instruments on the staff.

    Groovin' Alan - really like it. Sounds like you are playing in a very big venue. IMHO, this swingin tune should be slightly more intimate setting (primarily lessen the IR on the Piano). In any case very nice.

    Rob,

    thanks for the kind words...Sometimes I get a bit carried away with EQ-ing and the piano needs to be slightly dryer in certain situations. Your advice is well taken..

    Coming next..a nice Bossa-Nova Demo..

    This is a GREAT demo.

    it is the first time ever I could belive this is a real piano !!

    ==> Piano-Library / Sampler?
    ==> "Room" - Effect? (Ambience)

    I totally fell in love with that great piano sound. I MUST have that on my system

    Jochen, the piano used in this demo is the Bardstown Bosendorfer Imperial Grand Model 290. For more information and demos on this piano plus other sampled instrument products produced by myself, you can visit our web site at www.bardstownaudio.com

    Alan Russell produced this demo, so perhaps he will reply to this discussion and provide you with information as to which software sampler and other processes he used in order to produce this demo.

    Alan,
    IMHO bass in your "You Are Too Beautiful" sounds much more natural.

    Sfiks,

    If I can dig up the midi tracks, I'll post Kip's new bass with that selection.
    There is also a good chance that when one substitutes a sample for another sample, the entire track will have to be replaced due to the nature of how the samples were created. This may take a bit longer.

    Jochen,

    I used Gigastudio 3.04 for the softeware sampler and Sonar Producer for the sequencer. I asked Kip mix all of the midi to audio tracks in Samplitude Professional for me.

    If you get a chance, give a listen to the other Demo here:
