Can Gold or other library create timbral crescendos?

I'm still debating as to what library to get... For those of you who have Gold, can you do crescendos where the instruments, particularly the brass, change timbre as it happens, or do they have dedicated samples that are just crescendo samples which do that??

And if that's the case, can you shorten or lessen the length of these? Some of the older libraries had dedicated crescendo samples, and I'm just wondering if the new crop of libraries are able to program the change in volume as well as in timbre... Any info appreciated thanks...

It has both pre-recorded dynamics and mod wheel crossfade programs.

Thanks Nick for your reply... I'm gathering with the mod wheel cross fade you can determine the amount of time before the timbral change?

No, the mod-wheel controls the timbral change itself. It fades between two sets of samples, so you get the illusion of a single instrument or section changing dynamics, with timbral changes and all. You can go up and down and all around to your heart's content.

Thanks Stefan... This sounds like a great feature, I'll look at Gold more closely...
