Since I know there are some members here involved in musical theatre, I was wondering if someone could tell me what exactly a "book of the musical" is . . . what specific information goes into it? It's probably common knowledge, but I must admit, I am not sure . . .
The Book of The Musical most often is a book that covers everything involving a particular musical, say like "Cats". It gives you an in depth view of everything that goes on in side and outside including copy writes, music, libretto, casting, and so on. You can get a Book of The Musical for any musical to study it's history, writers, history and anything else involved.
I have several in our youth theatre library.
Do a search and you should come up with most famous musicals on Amazon.
