One GIG should be enough, but if you can afford more, it never hurts.

Sooner or later you will find the need for 2 gigs. Go for it, Life is not a rehearsal!

Also get the Bluetooth option even if you don't want the wireless keyboard and mouse right now( I love mine) because you won't be able to have it installed internally later and an external BT module will rob you of an onboard USB2 port.

Thanks for posting again. I was on the Logic users group with Yahoo and there's an entry that's arguing about getting a Imac over the Current power books. It seems that the Imac is more powereful or AS powerful, but not as portable. BUt cheaper
This user does travel and carries a wireless keyboard and mouse and puts it in the overhead compartment of the plane.
My poor G4 is getting old and by the time I upgrade, I might as well get a new computer.
What are you running on your Imac?

    Sincerely,
    Jonathan

I'm waiting for Logic Express (from AppleStore)... Now I'm working with Finale 2004b and with the stand-alone personal Orchestra.

Yeah, I guess if you have that size it's difficult. This guy was taking his 17" and had a special bag for it and does take it on the plane.

    Sincerely,
    Jonathan
