I have been spending some time converting my wave and aiff files to rex files, for use in RMX.
Now I would like to re-organize my user library.
There are some files I would like to remove, some that I would like to add to existing suites.
Is there a good recipe for managing your user libraries?
Is the only way to achieve this is to reorganize the original rex files and use the Sage convertor to re-convert them?
Would you ever consider a utility that could manage your RMX user libraries?
You guys have created an amazing piece of work with RMX.
I find it very inspirational to get a song going.
There's a section at the end of the SAGE convertor tutorial that shows you what things you can safely reorganize. Basically, the sound directories and suites may be moved and renamed, but don't touch the contents of the suite folders. If you want to change the contents of a suite, go back to the original rex files and re-import them. We may consider a utility in the future for editing suites.

My user library is getting pretty big. A management utility would be awesome.
When I first got RMX, I went nuts and converted every rex file I had with the Sage convertor. Now in retrospect I realize I could have handled it better now that I have spent more time with it.
At the moment I am afraid to move any of the folders in fear of wrecking any multis I have created. I don't know if RMX can find a loop if it's folder has been moved to a new location.
Like moving it out of the converted rex file folder into the main user library folder.
Bottom line: I for one would LOVE a utility to manage your User libraries.
You got my vote!
And props to you and Eric for creating this ground-breaking instrument.
