    Question: Caouette's Tutorial-Logic's freeze and Multi-Ch Vi's

Looking at Chris Caouette's "Logic 7 Tutorial", I would like to implement this in Logic Pro 6, but it doesn't seem to work right and maybe it's not do-able in 6?
Specifically, whenever I load a multi-channel Vi like Kontakt into Logic, the Freeze button disappears from the tracks involved. Should this be so in Logic Pro 6, and is it in fact do-able in L7?
    Thanks

Thought I'd give this a bump!
