    ESI nEar 05 or save up more and go for Yamaha MSP-5 ???

    Yamaha msp-5 are twice the price... but my friend told me that they are very good....

    What do You think guys ?
    Any1 of You have any of them ?

    I used to have ESI Near, but I'm not familiar with the Yamahas. My contribution is to say that I don't believe you can find better monitors than Near for that price. However, they might need a sub because they don't go really low and the ESI also offers a sub for that setup.

    and what about ALESIS M1 Active MK2 ?
    Or M-Audio BX8?
    They are in my top possible price range in incoming future.

    I have the Yamahas. I've found that they translate very well, but aren't particulare flattering sounding. They do have alot of bass when you consider the rather small size of them, and I don't feel the need for a sub in my case.
