Here's a question I havent seen posted here yet..

Do you do better when you have different colored lights around you?, No matter how cheap, as long as you create the atmosphere?..... I do better when I have an artificial live situation.... It helps my phrasing, and emotion.. Does this help anyone else?

Oh dude, that view is so awesome!!!. You suck..loL Where do you live? Thats a very nice atmosphere... It does certainly help create the creative mood huh? I dont have that view, But the lights in my mini studio get my creative juices goin... I used to think, "It's all in what you make it", Which is true to a certain extent, But enhancements are necessary for that real emotion... Same thing when I used a crappy amp, to when I switched to a good amp.... Man, I'm looking at your setup again, and it's awesome, Very inspiring lookin...

I understand now why Kid's always posting the Solaris stuff. There definitely seems to be a real interactivity...

I like the idea of trying mood lighting, but I can't say I've done it. Might be worth a try when I start feeling stale.

I find I work best when I keep my lighting pretty plain and bright, mostly so I don't start getting too "restful." I love the looks of Kid's place, but I know I'd start staring out the window and letting all the mood lighting put me to sleep! But maybe that's just me. Jus' sayin'!

I'm personally a fan of natural lighting. I spend most of the day glued to the computer screen, and if couldn't get a sense of the sunlight and life outside I'd go nuts. It can be difficult to get a good natural lighting environment which doesn't have some glare issues with the computer screen....but I prefer to deal with that than to lock myself in an artificial lighted room.

    Thanks guys...

Steel -- I live in "LA" ... why do you need my address? See something you'd like to have? (joke)

But yeah, it inspires me. For sure! The blue lights calm me, not quite enough to put me to sleep though. The Genelecs do a pretty good job of keeping me awake. I think whatever it takes to set you in that mood.. cool! It's different for all of us. That's why I always find it interesting to see others set-ups.

But yeah, I hear you guys about natural light too. During the day I'm all natural light, view of the ocean etc. (very grateful !!!!). I'm really kind of afraid to move, will I have a view like this? After having this view it's hard for me to imagine not having a view or natural light. I personally could not deal in a studio with no windows... that'd be tuff.

Mood lighting --- it's something for those evening hours.

Same here , i feel so much more inspired when my computer is in front of a well lit window , i remember the most productive period of my life was when i had one window exactly to the right of me viewing the sea, and one in front of me ( Behind the pc ) getting sun after 6 afternoon .
Too bad the casino data collecting failed and i had to unrent it
