The idea is tempting, but i have to say I'm less than impressed. It sounds like sampled sax, and unfortunately, to my ears, like sampled sax as we might have had it 10 years ago. Rather static, horribly synthetic almost.
I've heard nicer from a 32MB sampler (Roland library, or E-mu/Xsample).
Pity. if someone could make a sax plugin which sounds as nice and is as much fun to play as Real Guitar does for guitar, i'd grab it like a shot.
I mean I still use it for quick sax lines, because I don't have nothing else and it works fine.
I think there's a lot of paramenters to tweak and you could have good realistic sax lines if the sound quality wasn't so synthy.
Liquid Sax will likely have excellent sound quality and good material -the sources are Melodyne and Ueberschall, both market leaders - but you won't be able to "play" the sounds, I think -only re-shape (i.e edit) the lines in the supplied material.
A nice-sounding Sax VI with good realtime control....maybe Candy will do it?
Sure...I think they should have it ready for NAMM.
we really like your humor and the entire yellow tools team had to laugh when reading your post.
The positive effect for us is that it seems you have not forgotten Candy yet ;-)
