    Unhappy OK, I am confused!

What is the differentiation between Cubase SE and LE? Which one is the superior more convoluted? I have SE and thinking of purchasing the PreSonus Fire Pod which includes Cubase LE. I tried to find info on the Steinburg / Cubase forum but became tired of searching. I'm not a member of the forum so didn't post a request there.
Can anyone give me some insight?
    Thanks in advance.

SE is the more fully featured of the two. Definitely. No doubt in my mind. LE is usually the giveaway version.

Thanks J.B.! I've been trying to get an answer for a couple of days. Now, if I purchase the Fire Pod it should work without installing LE, right? You would think. Man, trying to get info from Steinburg is like pulling Elephant teeth!
    Thanks again.

Yep. It is most likely included as a bonus program like Nero with a CD Burner is. As long as you have the drivers installed and the sound card installed, the sound card will work.

I see, so I leave the existing Soundblaster card in?

Most sequencers will work with a variety of soundcards and even the "give-away" Cubase LE should be no different (unless for some reason they have "strapped" it to a specific soundcard in giving it away with that particular brand, which is doubftul).

I believe "ASIO" was developed to be soundcard independent and yet provide software devices such as Cubase LE/SE/SX freedom from worrying about "what's underneath". All should be cool.

    i hope this helps! KevinKauai

SE means it's super expensive and LE means least expensive.

Echo has introduced a new Fire wire audio interface based on the Layla – “Echo Audio Fire 8 & 12”. Reviews say it would be out for sale on Feb 5 but I cannot find it anywhere except on their website. Dangitall stuff changes from day to day like me socks!
