    MP3 encoder?

    Hey, every1!
I was working on a project of mine using GPO and I wanted to make an MP3 draft of it to post here to see what y'all think. I'm using Cakewalk Music Creator 2002 with the GPO DXi. Usually I can do an export audio mixdown and just click the file format to be MP3, and I was good. I didn't realize the my MP3 encoder had a thirty day trial limit. Now I'm limited to real, windows media, and wav files. I can't do MP3s!

Do any of y'all know where I can find a good MP3 encoder?

    Re: MP3 encoder?

    go to
    and download CWENC CakeWalkENCoder

then go to the Sonar forum and do a search on CWENC and you'll come up with the install instructions

    and it's FREE and GREAT

    Here's some additoal info

cwenc - MP3 & Ogg Vorbis Encoder for Cakewalk

    What is it?
The cwenc utility is primarily a tool for musicians working with Cakewalk music production software, such as Home Studio and Sonar. cwenc enables you to export your original music to a compressed audio file format, such as MP3 or Ogg Vorbis, from within the mentioned Cakewalk products. cwenc is a direct replacement for the time-limited demo-version of Cakewalk's commercial MP3 encoder program, which is packaged with both Home Studio and Sonar.
