    "Vital Organ"

    Organ fans,

Here is my "Vital Organ" featuring:

    GPO
    Full Organ (two instances)
    Baroque Plenum Pedal
    Flute Plr 1
    Trumpet 1 Plr 1

Tip: You can produce a virtually unlimited variety of sounds in your organ compositions by doubling the organ melodic line with a conventional instrument like flute or trumpet, written so as not to dominate the organ itself. Experiment!

    Regards,

    Larry A.

    Re: "Vital Organ"

I REALLY like your style, Larry!
(as I and many others have said before )
It'a kinda like the sonata form--with a main theme (I forget what it's called), development, and recapitulation.
I can never write a development quite like one of yours. I really like them!

I REALLY want to hear some of your orchestral works. You mentioned in another thread that you had some in manuscript but you just haven't MIDIed them yet. I wanna hear em!!!

    Larry,

You made "Vital Organ" come to life. Very nice composition and excellent idea. Doubling the organ lines with a barely perceptable orchestral instrument really adds a whole new dimension to the organ.

    Thanks for posting this tip.

    You are certainly welcome, Gary.

To add to the effect, offset the conventional instrument by a few ticks ahead of or behind the organ melodic line if your sequencer permits you to do so. Don't do this to such an extent that there is an unnatural "echo" effect.
