Maybe patch selection numbers or (what would really be great) if the patch names could be read by my sequencer (in this case, Sonar)

Yes please! And free selection of modulation destinations would be nice.

One thing which is always a hassle is that long-release sounds never cut themselves off unless you select the track press stop twice.

This is really inconvenient when you come to do a bounce, and then the last note of Atmosphere (from the end of the piece) sounds at the beginning. I've got into the habit of stepping through the tracks before a bounce, as Atmosphere only fades out when you select the track. This is a problem with any slow-release sound (Absynth too for instance) but it would be great if the VI itself could handle the problem.

What about adding all those amazing effects in Stylus to Atmosphere? The quality of the effects rack in Stylus is awesome... Imagine having those available in Atmosphere !!!!!!!!! (and Trilogy).

OR...OR...they could just make them standalone...Then they would be available in all those you mentioned plus all your other soft synths too!....YES, I'll beat the crap out of that dead horse!

    Re: Atmosphere 2?

I know this was mentioned before, but Id like to echo this feature:

    Robert Krall writes:

"One area I'd love to see RMX type technology applied to an atmosphere type of instrument is ARPEGGIOS: really cool, complex, rich sounding synth pulsations and arpeggios, using groove control / RMX technology.

That would fill the surprizing gap in the Atmosphere library of no tempo syncing features as of yet.

Think along the lines of the "complex" textures in the atmosphere library, but groove controlled / RMX-ized.

    I'd buy it today!!"

I think this will make Atmosphere spectacular! Just dont want to see it too buried Oh and some SOV blended in.

While we wait........check out Xphrase for rhythmic and arpeggiated sound design...with any imported sounds........and there is a rhythmic synth module coming out at EASTWEST designed by Ian Body.

Correction: The LFOs now sync in Atmosphere 1.2, so you CAN do tempo sync stuff pretty easily.

Download it if you haven't already...it's a lot of fun to use and it's a free update.
