How to Long "slide" on a Cello, Viola, Violin

Is it possile to make a long continuous slide, say from a C to a G or even a C down to another C on a Cello, Viola or Violin -- as if the player is sliding her finger down the string from one note to the next.

Are there samples for this? Or is necessary to do something like a pitch bend down from the first note and then crossfade into a pichbend in the other note... perhaps create the two pitch bends, then edit then in a wave program, and put this in the piece.... or how else?

    Thank you.

The Kirk Hunter Solo Strings feature great recorded "slides". They are actually performed, not pitch data, and he has three different 'lengths' of slides.

This is how i usually do it :

It's a kinda dodgy way though Sometimes it works, others not that well depending on the release of the samples and their attack . I'm quite happy with it in a mix but it's not perfect

Thank you. I listened to the demos on the site.

These are in giga format and I use Kontakt (Kontakt 2 when it ships). Will this work in Kontakt. (I have so-so luck with giga format with Kontakt 1.5.3.)

Jack - I use them in Kontakt and it works swimingly.
