vsti to standalone app? what & where is it?

I read about it here about a month ago-but im drawing a blank.
the app allowed non-standalone vst/vsti's to open without a host[from what i recall...]

    I Use V-Stack from Steinberg.

    http://www.steinberg.net/ProductPage...30&Langue_ID=7

It´s about 50$, easy, works perfect and .. ups, it was available for download
but they changed it in america:

"Due to the acquisition of Steinberg by Yamaha Corporation of Japan the on-line store for products and upgrades is currently being re-organized. We ask that customers in North America needing product upgrades call the Sales Line at 877-253-3900, where orders can be taken and will be processed immediately. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank Steinberg users for their patience while the new on-line system is being put into place"

But you still get it in the eurpean online-shop:

If you have an M-Audio card you got one with it - the DSound RT Player.

thanx.as my 2496 is old i never got that DSound RT Player.

Ill probably re-thread this question but: are any of you using MidiLan
or FX Teleport-do any of those apps work well-did you upgrade your network cards for lower latency?

I've tried some demos over the years and wasnt impressed.
