Er... what "Brass" did they physically model? A casio keyboard?
I think a favorite gag in medival times was to sneak up behind a Knight and stick a "kick me" sign on his armor with a magnet.

I couldn't even watch the whole thing. My XP-80's sax sounds better to me.

I think Casio would be insulted...

First off, he has no idea of what Jazz is about and he's demoing it. Give me a break man!

If the samples were sent to me for a demo, I'd worry big time..

Flush this one in the toilet - really!

Shouldn't we give them a little break? This is their first product using this tech, I think. But I can agree it doesn't sound on pair with GPO or the more expensive libs but maybe these demo's just doesn't show this product properly?

Anyway, I liked the appearance of the interface and it seemed to be user friendly.

    Falcon,

with all due respect, this is no way to present a sample. Yes, they have created one but is it really ready to debut here? - I don't think so.

Having them market something substantial and a bit more convincing stands a leg in this forum. This debut IMO wounds them.

My issue is with how these real samples will respond to the touch of my keyboard controller being the Motif Classic 8. It's true you can have a nice and convincing sampled sound for one note but when you try to string it with a band of others in the Jazz genre with a lagging response, it's back to the drawing board IMHO.

Yamaha has great mapping techniques that keep all of their synthy sounds responding to any strike of the key. The only issue is they are still too synthy and lacking the human articulations that are desired.

One day, we will get closer..but not so soon.

Question Re: Brass in a box (new library)

You know..... aren't these the same folks who brought us the MiniMoog V, Moog Modular V and ARP 2600 VST instruments?????

Those virtual instruments are really cool.

With their previous products....I kinda expected something a little different from Arturia.
