My wife is teaching her class about Haikus. So at dinner tonight I got the idea of seeing how many Haikus this forum might come up with about GPO.
Haiku is an ancient form of Japanese poetry. It has only three lines that don't rhyme. The first line has five syllables, the second has seven and the third has five again. So there be seventeen syllables in all (Styxx is getting to me). It is said that one should avoid similes and metaphors and retain Japanese values of lightness, simplicity, openness, and depth.
Anyone care to join me in seeing how creative we can be? To start the ball rolling, I'll submit this one.
Restless soul, so lost
In maze of lifeless samples.
Then came G. P. O.
