"Black Hole" - new composition of mine

    Hi together,

i recently finished a new composition of mine and it's been a while since i was posting stuff. so i thought i might share that one with you.

besides using VOTA for the choir, i sung about 20 tracks on my own and doubled that with the samplelines.

comments and critics are welcome as always ...

    i used:
    - EWQLSO Gold
    - StormDrum
    - VOTA
    - some RMX slams
    - some VSL & Epic Horn Patches
    - SAM Horns

Nice. Reminds me of the Carmina Burana(sp?). You have the mastery. Like to hear the whole thing.

Great job Alex. Did you use the 'word builder' and simply keyswitch vowels. Doubling with '20 of you' really gave it realness.

What articulations did you use with the VSL strings?

Thanks for posting and your replies.

    thx rob,

no i just converted all samples to wave file and import everything i need. it is quite a bit of cutting and crossfading but i find you get better results than using a sampler or the vota word tool.

on the last word "judicetur" it is really easy to do this ee-oo (like "you") sound by just doing a wide crossfade over ee and oo, so it kinda melts together.

for the strings articulations i just the alternate stacc samples but mixed with gold.

Alex, really exciting piece! You've been on the hot waters again haven't you?

I'd mix the firsts (Vlns) up especially at the start. (Both vlns and w/winds could go up about 3 or 4 db at start IMO) It seems that comparitive to the energetic percs and brass, you've lost your fast passages in the the high strings/winds department. Also, maybe eq a little more definition into the vocals, or biring them slightly to the fore as well. (unless you're deliberately trying to camoflague their diction/articulation/language).

Mighty fine work, but it needs to be called 'Orf the Planet'
