Ya look good professor! Little huh? Yeah sure! You're just as important and "giant" as any one of them only in a different field, music. I read your posts...

Or, more appropriately, why are there so few women in this business? It actually bothers me. Is there something about sitting in front of electronica day and night to make good-sounding tools that specifically, or at least historically, appeals to males?

Makes me wonder if i'm not a bit of a dork.

Yup, composing is a dork thing - especially if you're my age. Whenever I tell someone I compose music as a job, they roll they eyes and utter, "yea, okayyyy dude, whatever." Then when I say it's orchestral music, they add, "what, like that Beethoven classical s**t?" Unless you booty dance, have six-pack abs and are dumber than a box of rocks, you have little chance at landing a girlfriend in the 18-20 demographic. So now I don't yak to anyone about what I do.

Or maybe I'm just too ugly? :-D

That's o.k. Aaron, in a few short years those guys with the six-pack abs will be stuck behind a desk in some dead-end job working for someone else, (or at a construction site), and you'll look pretty cool going to the premiere of a film or TV show you've scored. (or the orchestra premiere of one of your pieces) People (chicks included) are impressed with someone who has the guts to go their own way and make a living at what everyone else could only daydream about, and it's obvious from your demos that that's where you're headed.
