Hi, I'm an Atmosphere user using
Atmosphere as an AU in DP4.52 / Panther 10.38 on a G5 2.5 Dual.
I'm pretty dismayed that in order to get any sound out of Atmosphere, I'm
required to either toggle the bitrate or open and close Configure Hardware
Driver. It's more than an inconvenience as either operation can cause DP to
crash on occasion.
It looks like this bug has been known about for sometime but there has been
no fix. Why is this? Is one due?
Come on guys, I've had such a high opinion of you up to now!!
I think your products are great (Particularly RMX) but expect a little more
We'll look into it. I'm not sure what the source of that problem is....if it's on our side or MOTU's (they've changed many things lately as you probably know which has affected how our UVI based plugs work in DP).
We'll be working on an update for Atmosphere for Tiger compatibility soon, so we can look into this issue at the same time.
In the meantime, instead of changing hardware settings (which reloads all VIs)try unloading and reloading Atmosphere from its Instrument track. I have to use this workaround with Trilogy as well using DP 4.52 running in the latest version of Panther.
I'm also using DP 4.5.2 with Atmosphere and Trilogy. Love the programs! I am using as VST/AU wrapper and that solves the problem. Sylus RMX works just fine! And I REALLY LOVE that program! The MOTU folks are aware of this problem!
