    Question Scarbee crossgrade question

If a user of a 24 bit multi-format version (like say, I dunno......me) were to purchase the crossgrade to the Giga version, would it be a relatively trivial matter to get the Kontakt version to read the Giga's 16 bit sample set?

    Anyone know?

Hmm - multi version inludes Kontakt..

    But just 24 bit, non?
I'm looking to set up a 16 bit Kontakt version using the 16 bit samples from the Gigasampler version.
Or am I missing something here?

Would batch converting the 24 bit samples to 16 bit be a better solution?

    Thomas,
OK....not to beat a dead horse, but I don't think I was clear enough.
I own (and love) the 24 bit Kontakt version. I would like the 16 bit samples, however. If I crossgrade to the 16 bit Gigasampler version, will I be able to make Kontakt read the 16 bit samples without doing serious remapping?
    Thanks,
    Phil

If you have Gigastudio simply import all the 24 bit samples, then convert to 16 bit, save gig file and export the samples to a 16 bit sample folder and use this with Kontakt.

    That will save you money...hehe

    Hi Phil,

just batch convert the samples to 16 bits (with some serious dithering algorithm!) without changing their names... since Mr. Scarbee never uses any kinbd of loops or the likes this trick should leave you with a perfectly working 16 bit version for Kontakt with the same exact programming you are used to.

    Just my 2 cents,
