Epic Recipe - by Josh Vinci

I think i got this webspace thing figured out - so here's an attempt at cinematic/epic music...something i started well before i heard of GPO, and was motivated to finish it when i started using the software...hope you like it.

    Joshua,

Very nice! You demonstrate a good command of orchestration. Very well done.

(Perhaps the ending is a tad "wimpy" but that's just my personal taste. I would have liked to hear it end with a flourish.)

    Thanks for posting your music.

    Regards,

Very nice, Josh. I concur with Larry. Good orchestration and very much cinematic / epic music. I can imagine that score put alongside film.

Thoroughly enjoyable; very fluidly and astutely orchestrated.

Joshua, might I suggest you take a second hearing on dynamic levels and overall dynamic balance... this is an area I struggle with a great deal, myself; and I think you would be doing this fine piece much service with a bit more attention and refinement.

May I look forward to hearing much more from you! It is always a pleasure to hear such a skilled -- and thoughtful -- orchestration.

thanks larry, chambermusic, and et lux for taking time to listening...

larry - yeah, i knew my sinister ending might get some flack...but sometimes i like a sad ending (there's something about low strings and low register of eng. horn that i love)...however, maybe i'll write a 2nd version with a "bigger" ending!

et lux - i completely agree with you! i'm not 100% satisfied with the mix and balance (etc)...so i'm gonna rework it a bit...maybe even tonight! i appreciate your feedback...josh

    Josh,

A melifluous melody to start. I like what you've done with this. The string work is well executed and I like transitions in moods and dynamic - the way things build and recede.

Thanks very much for posting another work. And thanks to the others who posted for their helpful and encouraging comments.

Oh, but that opening is sweet... lol.

Josh, the remix on this -- very definitely worth the added effort!
