    Re: Orchestration Duel Deux!

I actually started working with this a bit today. I'm in! Yay!!

(The accidentals on the last two measures are intentional, right? "Cause I'm doing it that way...)

    Hey Fred,

Welcome aboard! Yes they are indeed intentional accidentals, so go with it.

I'm excited to see what you all come up with!

    Best of luck,

Just moving Round Two of the Orchestration Duel back to the front page in an attempt to generate more participation...the more the merrier!

We've got about 20 more days until June 15th, so if you haven't started yet there's still plenty of time!

    hi all,
I sent ricz my "work" (don't know how to post here).
I didn't see any orchestration rules, so I did it the simple way : string quartet.
Since it's hard to measure musical quality, I'd be curious to know how much time do it need from the first reading to the final score.
    I spent 1h15.
    any comment welcome!

    Edit:
As Ric asks me me to send a mp3, I had to work again !
It takes 45 minutes more, so that is 2 hours for the first reading to the final mp3.
Maybe I can spend a day ou an entire life to work on it, add new ideas, improve the GPO sound..., but since it's only a game, I tried to be fast and efficient (musicaly).

Now I KNOW I'm getting old and slow!

I spent more time than that just contemplating the accidentals in the last two measures...

No, I'm just sure that everyone is just using all the time they can. Why spend just a week writing when you have a whole month?
