    virus scanners and giga

Can anyone recommend an anti virus that won't wreak havoc on my digital compositional endeavors? I'm fed up with trading my sanity for the overzealous protection of norton.

I've got a new virus definition for you, symantec, but am afraid it will not compute....

You could try AVG anti-virus.... it has a free trial and the price is competitive. While I didn't stay past the trial (I don't run antivirus software) I had no problems with my Giga setup.

    Trial?

    AVG is 100% free.

You must have downloaded the wrong version.

Wow! I never noticed that. Not sure if they've always had a free version or what, but thanks for letting me know!

I used to use AVG. But I got viruses. Norton is great for protection, but it's like having a big fat digital third reich running your affairs. I guess you can't have both.

    True: It's freeware.
