    Garageband loops/samples with Stylus RMX

Hmm...this might be in the "Why the hell would you want to do it category?"

But there are sounds/samples/loops in Garageband and the Jam Packs I really like that I wish I could use in Stylus RMX even at the "Sound Elements" level. Is this possible?

Is there a tutorial somewhere that explains how to do this? I take it just dragging it onto SAGE converter isn't gonna do it...

Yeah, AppleLoops aren't suitable for direct import into RMX. But, you can use Propellerheads Recycle to make a REX file from an AppleLoop, then use the SAGE Importer to import the REX file into RMX.

Does anyone know if there is anything out there in open source or freeware that does just conversion? Seems like overkill to go out and get Recycle to just convert AppleLoops to REX. I mean I like Propellerhead products and everything but now that I have Stylus RMX...;-)

There's nothing that can create a REX file except ReCycle, so conversion to REX isn't possible from a legal side....as the Props don't allow that.
