    Exclamation Posting Test

Hi all. I'm a new forum subscriber although I've been hanging around here for a while now. I bought GPO in January and haven't really gotten very deep into it yet but I'm working on it!

Enough mindless chat though. I have a problem and was hoping for some input from some of you forum guru's.

I've been trying to post for the last several days and keep getting an error message saying I have "One or more embeded URL's". After contacting a nice forum help person via email, (he still hasn't given me his/her name though), we were able to narrow it down to "Smileys". Very strange. If I include any smileys I get this error message. I don't have any problems at other forums I frequent.

I'm using firefox and have the usual AV, BB router etc. I did just install Spybot S&D but it does not run in the background.

Any suggestions or comments would be very much appreciated.

    TIA

    Thumbs up Re: Posting Test

Hi Paul and welcome to the GPO forum family of insane people! Are you saying this happens when you insert your own "smileys" or with the forums? Some times I get the same message if I insert one too many of them. If it has to do with your own, I haven't a clue.
Seems ironic that a "Smile" would cause such a problem. Try using fewer next time.
Hope this helps and HEY! When you going to post a demo? Love to hear your work soon.

Thanks Styxx. Even though I just signed up I feel at home here. I've been hanging around for awhile.

The smiley's are from the forum selection and it won't let me put even one in. I have another idea I'm going to try.

Someday, if I ever get something I'm happy with I may post it. Right now I'm trying to learn enough about GPO to add realistic sounding string and orchestral parts to my songs. I've found the tutorials and many of the posts here very helpful. Thanks to all.

Hey I think I may have figured it out! I disabled the adblocker in firefox and now it seems to work! Ha Ha!

I'll have to adjust the filters but that should be doable.

    OK, I give!

Not sure what's causing this, but I'll give two more tries then consult a moderator.
