    New Sample Library-2000 Gun Noises

I ran across a new sound library on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...329043328&rd=1

The Guns Sound Effect library "offers a varied selection of pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns and automatic weapons of many different calibers...."

"Choose from more than 60 different guns, rocket launchers and hand grenades. This library includes North American and European models, vintage black powder guns, World War I and modern weapons, and full size military munitions ... plus more than 700 foley effects."

There's even an audio example on the ebay listing.
Now why didn't I think of that?

Bidding starts at $250. May be more BANG for your dollar than GPO - but what a blast you can have playing it for your frineds and neighbors.

Wonder if it has keyswitches for guns with silencers.

Yes, keyswiches can "trigger" different rounds. Silencer mode is calibrated by the mod wheel.

This gives a new meaning to the term "loading" samples.

Sorry, Hollywood Edge did this years ago. Here's a link to a Real Audio file of a track I did just for fun when I first got the disc, called Daddy Wardrums! Features cannon, flintlocks and machine gun fire mapped to an Akai S900, all the rest done pre-sampler -Roland U220 and SC-88...

    Have fun!

I doubt it, Gary. GPO seems like a great deal. But you'll be a real hero if you figure out how to sample a nuclear weapon explosion.

The problem with that is that you can only get the far mic'ed samples of the nuclear the explosion, there wouldn't be any close mic'ing of the explosion, which is kind of limiting... I want to apply my own reverb and the outdoor sound would be kinda distracting...
