k, so I'm using giga, with good performance. I still have to use a second configuration to get online. This is fine, but on an older machine I was able to work on a tune while the client recieved a test copy for assesment. Now I have to wait for file transfer and comments, then reboot to update the music.
I'm wondering if anyone can confirm my suspicion that XP Corporate is capable of doing both, whil XP Home is not. My old machine ran XP corporate, and I'm now using Home 'cause it's what came on the machine, with a "rescue disk", which make reformatting easy, though it always reinstalls the freakin' norton and stuff.
Corporate being designed for heavy network traffic, I'd imagine it has the guts to send/recieve/move stuff around while still working hard at foreground tasks.
