    Sharing some looped music

    Hi,

Some humble works, 30 seconds loops for a small kids DVD game
(the simple game is actually played on a regular TV DVD player, no pc)

I thought it would be good to share some here for getting useful feedback.
I posted the "C1" a while ago here when it was only a quick demo to get the gig

excellent as all of your stuff! I really dig your style man.

just some minor nitpick remarks from me:

-the strings could be more dynamic. they're somehow flat in the background. some more decent evolving volume curves would be good.

-the first loop could get perhaps a little intrusive if you let the loop run a few times. I personally would let run the first 5/10 sec only with the pizz accompaniment and then begin with the theme. sure all a matter of taste.

but all in all a very good result. you can really be happy to have the opportunity to do such jobs....

    Re: Sharing some loops

Thank you very much, i didn't know someone would remember things I posted a while ago

You're definitely right about the first loop, I need to change this, but I think the client has already implemented it in the product

About the strings you're probably right but could you be more specific please ? (as where? When? and maybe how? )

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I really appreciate that !

...sure I remember your music...your princess-menue-loop did highly impress me

    more details? ok:

c3 loop: from 0:16 on more crescendo-descrescendo curves could make the strings more vivid. draw more mod wheel curves + a decent mix of lush, tremolo and solo string could sound like this perhaps:

first your original part is played and then mine...sure the strings are too loud and not the full arrangement is played ...just to demonstrate it

c5 loop: the same here from 0:10 on...especially from 0:20 could need more dynamics.

only my thoughts. just poposals. don't wanna spoil your music...I'm leaving again...

    Re: Sharing some loops

    Aaahh thanks !
Sorry for the late reponse ! I was quite busy recently :/

Ha I see what you mean, more expression. Yep, I think it's definitely obvious that I rushed and wrote the music like a pig . I'd love to try and make my violins more expressive the way you showed me (really helpful thanks!!) The sad thing is: The client rejected all the work for this project, so I don't think I'm gonna ever touch them :/ However for my new pieces I will definitely tke your advice and bring more careful editing and expression. Thanks again

But man, I'm really impressed at how you managed to isolate the violins from the other instrument without degrading the sound ! That's really impressive to me, and also very helpful (Are you a sound engineer ? )
