    Re: gpo/kontaktplayer update

hey guys. gary see my other thread and email

I didn't find a library update option in this install EXE? Hence, people will be updating to the latest release and not updating their GPO library. Not sure what to do once this occurs?

I think just the player is upgraded. The library has not changed.

    Re: gpo/kontaktplayer update

Yes, but the issue here is new GPO people will be downloading and installing the latest greatest update over their fresh installed copy of CD-GPO, and not getting the library updates. Once performed, they may be confused (like me) on how to get them installed correctly.

I believe, what needs to happen is

    1) They need to run 1.1.0 first

    2) OR if they took 1.1.8, to download 1.1.0 and run it and ONLY take teh library as an option

I am not sure...guessing...online instructions needed.

I downloaded it yesterday, but I don't see that it has a value for all GPO users. Am I missing something?

For instance, I don't use Tiger, RTAS, or Cubase.

Well, it appears that I was wrong. See Tom Hopkins post following!

    Re: gpo/kontaktplayer update

The point is that the last Kontakt upgrade (October 2004) also contained the library update with the new keyswitch instruments, etc. Now that there is a new, player only update, the new GPO group buy users won't necessarily get the library update as it can easily get passed over. Is there a plan to prevent this from happening?

    Question Re: gpo/kontaktplayer update

I don't see it in the "what's new" list that sagreene posted, but is there any chance that this update addresses the slider problem with the X-Custom instruments?
