FX Teleport "Can't connect to FX at FX Teleport server"

Hi,

I'm trying FS Teleport demo 1.04
I installed server on my barebone.
I installed host on my laptop.
FX are found in box "Configure FX Teleport Wrappers", I select an FX and click "Install". All right.

Now, I load my Cubase and while initialise, I get a dialog box "Can't connect to <FX I installed above> at FX Teleport server <server name>[<server ip>]"

When I select "search", I get a dialog box "Select FX Teleport Server for ..." with the mention "searching". And nothing happens.
When I enter the server ip in the blanck field, nothing changes.

What's my problem?

I've have no firewall, no antivirus, a 1Gb Lan, WinXP Home SP2 on my laptop, Win XP pro SP1 on my barebone, fixed ip that worked correctly

Hi, I have no definitive answer for you but Ive seen some kooky things happen with networking.

Sometimes, problems occur such as the one you described for no apparent reason. In that case, what I do is re-run the "network setup wizard" on each machine, it seems to re-install a bunch of network protocols and so on.

I had a very similiar problem to you recently and this fixed the problem.

I don't understand : I came back to my original ip and now, all works fine!

Very very bizarre.
