    Re: Orchestration Challenge III

    8 days to go!

That means that this is your last weekend to work on your entry.

On another note (ha ha) I have just realised that I will be leaving for my summer vacation on the day the entries are due.

In my absence, would anyone care to volunteer for receiving the entries and then gently persuading Gary to post an anonymous poll for voting????

    Many thanks,
    Richard N.

    Finale 2003 to 2007 ~ Garritan GPO, JABB & Strad ~ Sonar 6PE ~ Kontakt 2 ~ WinXP Home SP2

    Athlon XP 2200 ~ 1.5 Gb RAM ~ M-Audio Sound Card ~ M-Audio 88ES MIDI keyboard ~ Evolution MK-461C

    Bach Strad LT16MG, LT36G, 42B + B&H Sovereign Studio Tenor Trombones ~ Holton 181 Bass Trombone ~ Getzen Bass Trumpet ~ Yamaha TR4335G Trumpet ~ B&H Euphonium

    Richard,

I can do it if no one else volunteers, but HOPEFULLY I will have my own entry finished and able to submit this time around. So me doing it would break with our standard procedure of the "receiver" not being an entrant...if someone else can volunteer it would probably be better.

But I do have webspace available if needed...

Not much time left! I better get busy!

I'd volunteer as well, but I too plan to enter . . . if necessary we could break the rule, as I trust that you wouldn't somehow cheat

    Sean,
Most definitely - GET BUSY! I'm going to submit SOMETHING this time even if it's just a fragment. I do hope we have a lot of participation this time around.

I agree that it would be pretty hard to cheat...any changes to an MP3 would be obvious as hell...easy to spot...and then the cheater would be "tarred and feathered and run out of town (or the forum) on a virtual rail"!

Thanks Jim and Sean, can I leave it to you to agree who's going to do it?

    Cheers,

    Richard,
I think that between us, we can make sure the MP3s are received, anonymously renamed, and posted...no problem!

    Have a good holiday!

...shameless bump back to the first page.

The deadline is this coming Friday, August 19th, so if you're not yet finished, better get crackin'!

When you get your entry ready, please send me or Sean a PM and we will give you an email address to which you can submit your entry!

Damn. I really need to check these forums more often. I'd love to participate, but I've been out of town for a while and only just now came across this thread. I don't know how much I could do by Friday... but maybe I'll give it a shot anyway.

Hey...go for it! My own entry is still in pretty poor shape, so you have absolutely nothing to fear...
