Okay boys and girls...this is the last day!

Since we're spread out across the globe, it's kinda hard to set a firm "official time" for a deadline. So in order to give those folks west of me ample time to add any finishing touches after they get off work (and becuase I'm not planning on staying up all night Friday waiting on entries) I'll take any entry that gets here tonight.

Gary has graciously agreed to set up a poll for the voting and I'll be contacting him Saturday morning. Looks like this will be a good round...we've got four entries so far and a definite "maybe" on a couple more.

So if you've got something to submit...send it in! You can send me a PM up until about 8:00 CST for the email address to send your entry to. Sean Hannifin also has this address if you can't find me.

    GOOD LUCK ALL!

    WooHoo!

We've got six entrants in this round, and they're all good and quite different! I'll post links to the files below, but everyone please hold off on voting for a little while.

Gary is going to post a separate thread with a poll for the voting, so please wait for that. As always, entrants can remain anonymous if they so desire, and criticism (constructive please!) is encouraged from the listeners/voters.

    Here's the page=>

And links to the individual entries:

    Entry 2 http://home.comcast.net/~marbella01/Entry02_Chall3.mp3
    Entry 3 http://home.comcast.net/~marbella01/Entry03_Chall3.mp3
    Entry 4 http://home.comcast.net/~marbella01/Entry04_Chall3.mp3
    Entry 5 http://home.comcast.net/~marbella01/Entry05_Chall3.mp3
    Entry 6 http://home.comcast.net/~marbella01/Entry06_Chall3.mp3

    GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

    Re: Orchestration Challenge III

Wow! We have a good amount of entries, and the orchestration is varied, but great! I already know I will have a tough time voting.

Many thanks to all who composed an entry, and thanks to southportJim for collecting them again! This is a great round!

I'll update my archive tomorrow. Good luck to the contestants!

    WOW!

    I vote for Entries No. 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & 6

Seriously, they all sound great to me, highly original and completely different from one another. There is no way I could choose one from the other without some additional criteria (like a video clip to narrow the intended mood).

So Bravo everyone, this was HUGELY enjoyable and a complete surprise.

PS Entry No. 1 person: please read my comments in this thread here:
(a little additional of a cc#1 hill (0-16 in midi units) on your strings parts would really help!)

    Re: Orchestration Challenge III

    All,

Just a reminder that Gary is going to post a poll on a separate thread for the voting on Orchestration Challenge III. Voting wil be open thru Sunday, Sept 4th. Constructive criticism should be entered on that thread as well.

    Thanks!

    ;-)
