    New Member and a question

    Hi, all

Having just purchased GPO about a month ago, I though it was time to join the board. Even though I am new to GPO, I have been writing music for over 30 years.

I was trying to post a link to one of my numbers, but the system barks about the URL and won't allow the post. I see the same problem if I try to reply to a post that has a URL in it.

Is there a trick to it, or do I have to be registered on the board for a longer period of time?

    Thanks

Alot of us had this problem. At the bottom of this page click on "vB code is on". Scroll down to URL Hyperlinking. The example will show you what to do. Can't wait to hear what you've got.

You can not post a link until you have posted 5 messages.

    Richard,

I did not know that - I guess I had posted the minimum number of posts before I offered up an mp3. Where is that regulation? Is is like the license agreements that come with software that none of us read?

Co-incidence : I've just been having exactly the same problem. Didn't know about the '5 threads' thing either.

Guess I'd better make a few posts

I don't remember where it came from, but it has been a fairly frequent topic here.
