Topic: MIDI sources for JABB ?

    MIDI sources for JABB ?

Taking a lead from another thread asking 'what will you compose using JABB', what are some WEB sites that have MIDI arrangements for Jazz Bands, combos, big bands, etc ... ( free is good .. )

I don't think this would violate any copyright issues, since we would only be re-scoring the original arrangement with a different instrument library set.

    Hi atonal,

Try Gary Wachtel's site at www.garyw0001.com

He's got quite a lot of Big Band sequences there - many classic, some newer. A few are available for free download, but for complete access a small subscription is payable. Anyway, it's worth a look.

GaryW0001! Yes! I never knew who he was, thanks for posting the link. I've listened to his work for years, watched him get better with each tune. These are great beginnings for testing JABB (lots of tweaking, but still the original database (midi file) is there.
It's all about the music - really. I keep telling myself that...

Can't wait to hear some of this! If anyone is taking requests, I'd love to hear Benny Goodman's "Sing, Sing, Sing".
