    Vivaldi Four Seasons - Spring

    Hi All,

Well this is my first post to this forum. I recently bought GPO and for my first real project I decided to tackle something I considered hard (the best way to learn!). I have always thought that strings are the hardest to do well, so I took on Spring from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. My goal was to create something that was crisp with a “you are there” feel. So I have used minimal reverb. This version has pretty flat expression and there are still some glitches in there. That is why it is version one! Anyway, I thought that I would share and seek suggestions for improvement. The MP3 can be found at:

(how do you include a real url? The system didn't seem to let me)

    You're close to the URL.

You need to put http:// in front of your URL.

    So it would be:

    http://people.internet2.edu/~rdhobby...ing-v1-rdh.mp3

Thanks for the reply Rich. Yes I originally had that in front but then got the message:

Maybe first posts can't have urls to prevent spam. I don't know.

    Very GOOD!!!!
    This is simply wonderful!!!
    I really enjoy it!!!!

Your strings sound so real at some point that seems to be in a real rappresentation!!!
How did you get the strings sound so real? Did you use the ensemble building feature of GPO or somtheing else?

I would suggest to you to a add a little bit of reverb, in order to get the best result!
But the piece is really well done!!

    My congrats,
    Roberto
