    Of Hurricanes and Radio Stations

As you probably know, Hurricane Wilma is romping across south Florida as we speak. The data center for my web sites are also in said romping area, and you can probably guess the rest. The Composer Channel, ShowProgramming.com, and my email are all down for the moment until the excitement passes.

I'm actually rather surprised that it's down, as Wilma is only a Category 2 and these data centers have survived much stronger storms. Probably some anxiety ridden rat has chewed through a critical cable in the midst of it all. In any event, the radio station, web site and email should all be back up before too long. These guys are pretty good.

Probably just the power in the surrounding area. Can't do much for it after your battery-power failsafe runs out.

Back when I worked at CompuServe, we had our own oil-powered generators!

Well, the hurricane has barely cleared the right coast and everything's already back up. I love these guys...
